EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, MIT GOLUB CENTER FOR FINANCE AND POLICY (GCFP) , Sloan School of Management , to take the lead on global engagement, communication activities, resource development, and the management of ongoing activities/special events in support of the GCFP's mission . Will be responsible for the development of a highly effective, globally visible center focused on initiatives that address the challenges facing financial policymakers and regulators; actively support the center's research, mission, and activities by organizing conferences/events, building relationships, managing communications, and spearheading data initiatives; set strategic direction and priorities; develop a high-performing culture that is accountable, innovative, open to change, aligned on goals, and stakeholder-focused; coordinate faculty efforts to develop educational materials and programs for multiple audiences; identify and mentor fellows/visiting scholars; conduct outreach to and engagement with public and private sector financial communities and the media; collaborate across MIT and within Sloan to develop long-term resources for the center; and lead and build a professional team to deliver on the center's mission and strategy.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree (master's or Ph.D. preferred); seven years' related work experience in senior organizational roles; excellent interpersonal, presentation, written and oral communication, problem-solving, and management skills; demonstrated success building organizations and programs including the ability to develop resources and human capital; understanding of the cultural and interpersonal dynamics of a large university committed to research and is active in the world; and ability to collaborate and influence leaders and partners at all levels and effectively interface with multiple constituencies. Seek someone who thrives on variety and challenge in a changeable environment. Leadership experience in a public policy role a plus.
