The Director of Finance and Operations oversees all administrative operations of the Center. Reporting to the Executive Director, this person has overall accountability for fiscal management and monitoring, personnel actions, space and equipment, and communications/information technology for the Center’s offices in Portland and Salem. The person in this position supervises and/or provides training and development to all office support professionals. The person works closely with key program directors and managers to assure the fiscal and operational integrity for their programs, and sits as an equal member of the Center's Leadership Team, providing high level strategic thinking for Center wide planning and decision making. The person serves as a liaison between the Center, and other programs at the School of Social Work and the University. In addition, the Director has significant independent liaison responsibilities with Oregon DHS and other partner agencies. Frequent travel to Salem is part of this job.
- Professional degree in fiscal, management, public administration or related field. - At least 3-5 years experience in program administration, management, and/or operations at a leadership level. - Demonstrated ability to create, work with, and report out on complex fiscal and administrative data. - Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment where deadlines matter. - Demonstrated collaborative communication and interpersonal skill at a management level. - Demonstrated ability to advance equity and inclusion in a management role with diverse staff and external customers.
- Master’s Degree preferred. - Experience with PSU management systems highly preferred. - Experience in a University setting. - Experience working with the Banner financial and human resource systems. - Current knowledge of university fiscal and human resources policies and procedures.
