Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), Connecticut’s leading healthcare system, is celebrating 20 years as an integrated health system. YNHHS includes Bridgeport, Greenwich, Lawrence + Memorial, Yale New Haven and Westerly hospitals and the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut. YNHHS (with $4.5B in annual net revenue) has clinical relationships with several other hospitals in Connecticut and numerous outpatient locations throughout the state. YNHHS is affiliated with Yale School of Medicine, in support of patient care, medical education and clinical research.
This role has a dual reporting relationship to the SVP, Corporate Finance for YNNHS and the CEO of NEMG. The Vice President of Finance will oversee all strategic and operational aspects of financial management for the group, working closely with the finance team at YNHHS, the NEMG CEO, physician leaders and members to maintain the group’s strong financial standing and ensure continued improvement and growth of physician practice operations and strategic initiatives.
Essential characteristics, skills and requirements for the role include:
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree with financial or business-related focus and/or CPA desired.
Ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare finance; at least five years of experience overseeing ambulatory or medical group finance is required.
Prior experience within a complex integrated delivery system is highly preferred; experience within an academic enterprise is highly desirable.
Exceptional ability to advise and collaborate with physicians and other providers is essential.
Track record which demonstrates the ability to navigate effectively in a complex environment with a broad geographically distributed footprint.
