We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Balance Sheet Management Product Control Manager.
Act as in country contact point representing Product Control in front of all stakeholders for a new intermediate holding company of HSBC Hong Kong.
Support the line manager for Balance Sheet Manager Core Product Control and Regional Hedging Unit.
Provide oversight of near shore and offshore team on key Product Control controls including Product and Loss analysis, review and signoff, trader estimate versus actual Product and Loss, reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation.
Support valuation processes and implementation of Primary Trading System and downstream feeding to ledger for the new intermediate holding company.
Review hedge accounting controls and any relevant financial and management information.
Ensure the Bank assets and liabilities are properly valued.
Analyse the financial and management information and identify the control issues.
Streamline and optimize Front to Back processes to ensure an effective, efficient and robust control framework.
Proactively improve and automate current processes.
Assist in UAT and any ad hoc projects.
Qualified accountant with university degree either in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial or Mathematics or Engineering.
Good understanding and knowledge on money market, interest rate and foreign exchange products.
Solid working experiences in control area.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Understanding on Bond, Rates, Loan, FX system such as TREATS, Summit and xFOS, will be a bonus.
Good appreciation of regulatory guidelines, rules and requirements.
Project management experience or background is preferred.
