Responsible for directing all financial management functions of a GWS Account Portfolio of up to 10 accounts, including the management of all dedicated finance talent supporting these accounts. Key member of the division's finance leadership team delivering a financial platform across the division which ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, driving analytics into action, development and sharing of best practices, a program of continuous improvement, and the recruitment and development of top talent. Key financial partner for portfolio Division Director, supporting financial and strategic decisions, new account pursuits and transitions, as well as account renewals, expansions, and transformations. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients. Effectively lead and manage a finance team and work within the matrix reporting environment with the Division Director, account Alliance Directors, GWS AMS and Regional Finance, Dallas (corporate) and Memphis (client) accounting on all aspects of financial reporting and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct the delivery of all monthly financial reporting and communication of portfolio financial results to Division Director, Division Senior Finance Director, and GWS AMS Finance Responsible to ensure delivery of timely and accurate monthly financial reports, analysis, and all related variance reporting - client and corporate - for all accounts in the portfolio Direct all financial functions related to the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and financial planning and analysis functions - client and corporate - for account portfolio. Lead various finance functions for the account portfolio, including scorecard reporting and metrics, value savings initiative tracking, reporting and communication of KPI performance and monitoring Ensure the sharing of best practices across the account portfolio, including importing and exporting of the same across the divisions. Participate in the preparation of pricing models and all finance components for new pursuits, contract renewals and expansions, supporting the Sales and Solutions Team Recruit, lead, mentor, develop, motivate and evaluate dedicated finance team members
Provide direction to Account Finance Leaders in the management and oversight of all general accounting functions, including month-end close and financial analysis. Ensure that standard accounting policies, practices, and procedures are implemented and working effectively across the portfolio. Direct finance leaders to ensure a comprehensive knowledge of contract terms and they have established appropriate control procedures, financial reporting and processes to ensure contract compliance and performance, as well as readiness for audits Support the account finance leaders to manage and monitor the development, analysis, evaluation, coordination and implementation of client financial and management reporting requirements. Ensure on-site finance teams are working with assigned dedicated client accounting team on all day-to-day and month-end accounting procedures for customer, analyzing expense and balance sheet activity, coordination of vendor payables, streamlined procedures for billing/collecting. Ensure dedicated finance teams are working with assigned dedicated corporate accounting teams on all day-to-day and month-end accounting procedures for the account results, including P&L activity (management fees, fee splits, gross-up entries, reclasses, etc.), balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals); accounts receivable / cash application, ensures accounting is performed in compliance with GAAP Support the teams to monitor and evaluate all accounting process to ensure continuous improvement. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and effective, resulting in limited risk in financial accounting/reporting. Recruit, lead, mentor, develop, motivate and evaluate dedicated accounting team members
Partner with Division Director and account Alliance Director's on overall client financial priorities and ensure financial data is delivered timely and accurately. Proven ability to think strategically with not only a financial but also an operational mindset. Take the lead to ensure all financial reports and analytics have a purpose and drive action. Work with account finance leaders to continually refine and improve current methods and business processes to improve productivity and improve communication Ensure effective internal and external client relations through communication of processes, procedures, service delivery, and service limitations, increased communication with Division Director, account Alliance Directors and senior leadership teams, platform leaders, and the division finance leadership Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service, personal involvement in fostering client relationship Continuously evaluate financial resource needs, measure productivity and report findings to management as appropriate Support finance leaders in the review and approval of ad hoc financial requests (client and corporate) to ensure requests are appropriate, consistent with contractual scope of work, and current staffing levels are adequate to deliver on such requests. Work to identify and mitigate financial and operational risks Work with other platform leaders to ensure contract compliance for all accounts

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent to appropriate 4-year college program. 10+ years' experience in field of general accounting/finance AND comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of general accounting and finance functions, or any similar combination of education and experience 7+ years of supervisory experience. Must have demonstrated ability to motivate and work with a team, train personnel, and handle complex employee issues confidentially and fairly. Experience managing remote employees is a plus Familiarity with and adherence to standard accounting principles and controls, real estate finance experience Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions and resolving complex problems related to general and technical aspects of the job. Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Demonstrated ability to develop and present executive level financial reports. Ability to manage multiple priorities with high flexibility and rapid response time Excellent analytical, quantitative and presentation skills Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills Strong work ethic, proactive, and adaptable CPA or MBA preferred but not required (depending on experience)

Heavy experience in Microsoft office products specifically in Excel and PowerPoint Experience with Cognos, TM1, Peoplesoft Financials, Tableau, Adaptive Planning (or similar technology tools) preferred.
