Elizabethtown College, a nationally ranked liberal arts college located in south central Pennsylvania, is currently seeking a Vice President for Finance and Strategy. The Vice President for Finance and Strategy promotes the short and long-term fiscal health of Elizabethtown College, oversees the legal and business practices of the College, and guides budget decisions that support the College’s strategic priorities. As a member of the President’s Senior Administrative Team, the Vice President works closely with the President, Board of Trustees, and serves as Treasurer of Elizabethtown College. The Vice President will direct and oversee fiscal management of the institution. This includes financial planning, developing and managing the college’s operations budget, asset management, coordinating the annual audit, and debt management. The Vice President serves as an integral strategic partner to organizational leaders, providing strong and accurate financial guidance, as well as leading long-term financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategy-setting.
Assist the President in driving the strategic planning process for the College;
Serve as a thought partner and member of Elizabethtown College’s Executive Team, contributing to organizational vision and strategy, mentoring staff, and providing day-to-day financial oversight;
Lead the budget planning and implementation process based on direction and priorities established by the President;
Manage the College’s capital investment strategies to promote operating stability, foresight and innovation without undue expense/risk;
Serve as the liaison to the finance, audit, and investment committee of the Board;
Assess and evaluate the college’s financial performance regarding long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the strategic plan;
Research, interpret, and report on long-term trends for the purpose of formulating policy and strategy;
Responsible for assessment of current policies/procedures related to operations and finance; developing and implementing enhanced policies/procedures in both the finance and general operations realms.

Master’s Degree in finance-related field, MBA or CPA, or other advanced financial/accounting certification;
Ten to twelve years of senior financial management experience in higher education, not-for-profit or for-profit organizations;
