Finance Transformation 2.0 – KPMG supports the CFO agenda to deliver critical business outcomes faster, cheaper and better. We help clients shape the future state of their Finance function through leading strategy and capital allocation, automation, insight & analysis and organisational simplification.
Powered Finance (PF) - Powered Finance provides pre-configured, cloud based computing solutions for clients who are transforming their finance architecture and processes. Our capabilities are multi-disciplined and cover areas like Chart of Account (COA) design, Finance process standardisation, Business change and Readiness support, Bespoke Business Training, Reporting Strategy, Finance Controls and Finance Operating Models
Our Enterprise Performance Management practice is a priority area for significant strategic growth for KPMG consulting. As part of this team, you will be working with a broad range of clients across FS, both the UK and globally support in developing strategic decision making tools within Business information systems which allows the CFO to unlock the power of Performance reporting to make strategic business decisions which grow the business. Our current team is involved in implementing Strategic Planning and Pricing models which are used by business to forecast and refine their 5 year plans. The technological capability of the team is a key factor in the success of the current engagements.
We're looking to hire a number of Managers to join our team. As a manager in Finance Transformation, your responsibilities will include;
Engagement delivery: working with senior members of the team, shaping the approach to deliver projects; planning, resource management, commercial positioning
Engagement delivery: leading the delivery of projects, managing a team of colleagues and managing client relationships
Business & Solution development: Build internal relationships across the various disciplines within KPMG to expand our FT footprint and continuously develop and improve our solutions based on market requirements.
Technology asset development: Work with SMEs to develop and build working prototypes which will be used as assets to deliver relevant solutions to clients.
Risk management: actively manage risks throughout client engagements, ensuring the Firm's processes and frameworks are safeguarded appropriately and effectively
People development: Contribute to professional development of our colleagues and delivery teams with particular emphasis on career coaching and skills development
Practice development: taking a leading role in shaping our solutions to contribute to our growth ambition
Successful candidates should have strong finance knowledge and demonstrate the following skills:
Accountancy qualification – ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent
Understanding of key performance and cost challenges across Financial Services, including those presented by regulatory changes
Solid understanding of the Banking and/or Insurance industry in terms of industry challenges, regulatory changes, Finance process and technology developments (Cloud, AI, Block chain as examples),
Strong analytical skills with ability to cut through complex situation with clarity and focus on problem solving
Ability to take on the lead role in project delivery, managing a team of 5-10 people, with a proven track record in delivering high quality outputs
Building client relationships across various levels of their organisation
Technology affinity, having awareness and understanding of core finance systems (Oracle, SAP, Workday, Microsoft dynamics, BOARD)
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate 'technical terminology' into business language, highlighting relevance to the Finance audience
The ability to break through potential 'resistance to change' across the business by articulating business implications and benefits
Ability to work with cross functional internal teams within KPMG (e.g. Risk and Technology Enablement)
Commercial thinking and awareness (pre-project and inflight)
Successful candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Delivering complex finance transformation programmes for FS clients, driven by technology and/or strategy change
Experience of developing solutions using BOARD software will be highly advantageous
