Reporting to the Senior Buyer, this position will serve as the Procurement and Travel card administrator and front line customer service support of the daily operations and administrative functions of the Procurement and Finance Operations departments.
The Procurement and Finance Operations Specialist will establish and maintain strategic and successful relationships with co-workers, internal customers, outside suppliers and other business partners.
• This position acts as the Procurement and Travel Card Administrator, responsible for all administrative tasks related to the card programs such as enrolling cardholders, conducting training, editing profiles, reviewing cardholder’s activity, and performing audits of card transactions. • Administers the Procurement Marketplace and is responsible for conducting training, editing profiles, reviewing activity, and providing guidance and support to the college community. • Responsible for supplier setup and maintenance in Workday. • Provides Workday Finance customer service, training and process documentation for the College community. • Supports the department and the College community by communicating purchasing and accounts payable policies and procedures. • Supports the department with purchase orders, bids, special projects and other duties.
Candidate should exhibit an exceptional customer service orientation and strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Individual should also have demonstrated record of a strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Candidate must possess a positive attitude, be team oriented, quality driven and of the highest integrity.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business or another related discipline. • Experience in purchasing, accounting, business services or other related fields preferred. • Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Working knowledge of financial management systems. • Higher education or not-for-profit experience a plus.
