Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Manager, Administration and Finance Domestic and International (Senior Manager) for RGHI. This position reports to the Director of the Rutgers Global Health Institute (RGHI), the Senior Manager supports an exciting, local and international global health effort across Rutgers University in New Jersey and in international settings. RGHI is launching its first 5-year Strategic Plan, which has faculty and student efforts across 7 Focus Areas in global health. This position provides administrative support for RGHI overall, for the health-related work in Botswana in southern Africa and for new proposal development. Along with the Director of RGHI and other program staff, this position works with collaborators internationally to ensure compliance and financial management of internationally-based projects and grants.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides financial and grants management support for both sponsored and non-sponsored funds.
Responsibilities for Pre-award duties, include grant preparation, budget development and application for submissions.
Collaborates with the offices of administrative and financial services within Rutgers to ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals.
Responsibilities for Post-award duties, include coordination of timely reports to sponsors, assisting with the interpretation and dissemination of sponsor guidelines to program staff.
Oversees submission of timely effort reports, reviewing and coding accounts payable and other financial transactions,
Manages submission of timely payroll changes for faculty and staff, and monitors expenses to ensure appropriate expense allocation to sponsored awards, including subcontract expenses.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in administration, finance or related experience.
A minimum of five years of experience and/or increasing responsibility in administration and finance, grant writing and securing funding from external organizations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have strong skills in administration, planning, budgeting, accounting, and management
Excellent organizational and communications skills
Ability to guide teams or work with partners to set and achieve clear goals and results
Excellent computer skills
Knowledge of the administration of programs in international settings a plus.
