About the firm Stanhope Capital is a global investment office providing investment management and advisory services to private clients, charities and endowments. Stanhope is now one of the largest private investment offices in Europe, overseeing approximately US$10 billion in multi-asset mandates on behalf of clients. Our merchant banking team provides clients (typically entrepreneurs, industrial families, and corporates) with strategic financial and corporate advice in relation to M&A and equity and debt capital raisings. Responsibilities - Working in close knit merchant banking team (currently two Partners)
- Conducting company financial analysis, including building and running valuation and financial models
- Researching/ collating/ analysing corporate and financial information
- Assisting in all aspects of corporate advisory/ transactions, which may include M&A, capital raisings, and other types of transaction structures
Requirements - Motivated, professional individual with strong academic background and 4-5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance and investment banking. Experience of execution of M&A/capital raisings transactions, including liaising with requisite advisers;
- Exposure/experienced working on transactions which may include 3rd party advisers (e.g. lawyers and accountants etc.), including participating in conference calls, drafting agendas, developing and updating transaction timetables, marketing materials etc. and proficiency with PowerPoint/Word
- Knowledge of company valuation techniques: comparable trading and exit multiples, DCF, and LBOs. This should include developing and building excel models, including good working knowledge of LBO modelling
- Experience of research/financial analysis of companies, including putting together company profiles and other information as required;
- Ideally familiar with information service providers such as CapitalIQ, Bloomberg preferred;
- Ability to work autonomously and pro-actively and to take on responsibility quickly. - Committed to building a career advising entrepreneurs/UHNW individuals/families on corporate/PE investment situations, and willing to gain exposure and learn skills in new areas of finance;
- Able to write and converse in French is a must.
