Provide front line support for the Private Banking business processes and systems including Risk, Regulatory and Finance systems and all other supporting components.
Resolve application specific (functional) user queries and production incidents (technical, workflow or data issues), with a focus on Problem Management techniques in order to establish root cause. Make recommendations on how to permanently resolve reoccurring incidents and see through to implementation.
The Application Support Analyst will work in a team that has ultimate Responsibility for production stability and champion continual service improvement, but also will be working closely with the user community to drive incremental changes into the application landscape.
Work directly with vendors onsite and offshore on resolutions to production incidents as and when needed, in order to focus on production stability.
Ensure system disaster recovery procedures are up-to-date and perform disaster recovery exercise minimally on yearly basis.
Document support activities, which include support tasks and outages, procedures.
Perform regular applications health check to ensure system availability. Make recommendations and see through to implementation on automated applications health check capabilities in order to reduce manual human intervention.
Play an active supporting role in the support and management of the batch runs with a focus on reviewing trend data to drive continual improvement on COB durations and reduction in COB related issues.
Process, prioritize and implement miscellaneous services requests; which include but not limited to application access assessment, ad-hoc reports generation, data correction etc. Work closely with Development team on the coding of data correction scripts.
Support on-going Technology Audit activities including process documentation, risk acceptance closure, regular reviews of documentation, handling auditors' queries. Ensure all key documents are up-to-date and seek approvals from documents owners whenever there are critical changes on these documents.
Drive the delivery of functional and technical specifications for outstanding system bugs or required enhancements. Undertake testing of all application bug fixes and enhancements as part of the release management process.
Provide on-call support and afterhours/weekend support as needed, covering application support and application change deployment.
Provide hotline support on a rota basis within office hours to answer in-coming calls from business users, covering all production applications across all Application Support teams. Log support tickets and assign the support tickets to the relevant Application Support teams.
Prepare application training materials and provide training where necessary. Provide cross training to other members of the Application Support team.
Participate in projects design, testing, implementation and handover. Ensure the service transitions check list are fulfilled before the projects are being on-boarded into BAU support.
Degree in an IT related discipline.
At least 10 years of mandatory experience in supporting Risk, Finance and / or Regulatory Reporting business units.
Good analytical skill with mandatory solid experience on MSSQL, SSIS, SSRS. Experience on programming (.NET, VBA etc) will be an added advantage.
Experience in supporting the following applications / functionalities will be added advantage
Finance - Regulatory Reporting
Experience in delivering projects related to Finance, Risk & Regulatory streams will be an added advantage
Experience of working in a production support team with a focus on analysing and fixing issues/problems. Prior experience in root cause analysis and experience in the use of root cause analysis and problem solving techniques and tool. Acquainted with Incident and Problem Management processes. ITIL certification will be added advantage.
Able to respond effectively to changing requirements and priorities.
Should be flexible to work in shifts
Strong IT aptitudes, reliable, flexible and adaptable. Able to interact closely with stakeholders to understand their pain points, and able to propose and influence the design of solutions to resolve these pain points.
Experience in the discipline of SDLC processes, especially for solution, analysis, testing and implementation phases of the SDLC processes will be a bonus. Excellent presentation and communication skills, ability to manage communication with senior business and technology stakeholders.
