Our Financial Management Group has an opportunity for a Senior Manager to join the Regional Finance team in Hong Kong.
As a member of the Asia Regional Finance team, you'll further develop your practical understanding of the operations of the Macquarie businesses in Asia, how the group sources funding from the external market and on lends this to the operating business units, including funding operations in the different countries across Asia. Your responsibilities will also include decision and project support to various stakeholders regionally and globally. In addition, you will expand your technical accounting, tax, and regulatory capital knowledge in a dynamic finance team.
You will be responsible for overseeing monthly processes that ensure funding is in accordance with approved funding pipes in Asia, and for the reviewing of capital structures/funding in Asia to ensure efficiencies, including considering different options and conducting analysis. You'll also provide support to Legal Entities controllers for capital changes/corporate actions including escalation of considerations around tax, hedging and funding, regionally and globally. You will be act in a decision support / operations / co-ordination function for key funding related projects with Group Treasury including consultation with Group Treasury, Tax and senior management within the Financial Management Group.
You will also provide regional decision support for combined monthly regional results. You will provide support and prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders for business results, working together with the Central Executive Group/Regional CEO Office, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders providing background of Macquarie and FMG Asia operations and functions. In addition, you will drive and lead by example, demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy and quality across all levels of the Financial Management Group team.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with strong finance experience within a Corporate or business finance role at a recognised Financial Institution. You possess strong analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge and hands-on finance experience and an understanding of financial markets.
