Business Unit Overview An opportunity to join the Regulatory Financial Reporting team has arisen as a result of increased developments in the regulatory space within EMEA. The Regulatory Financial Reporting team is part of the Corporate Accounting team within Controllers department, Finance Division. This is a new team that is tasked to deliver on key projects driven by market/regulatory changes. We are looking for a bright, driven professional who is keen to use and develop their technical accounting skills to provide high quality project management, reporting and analysis in a challenging and varied environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS J ob Responsibilities
Analysis of upcoming regulatory financial reporting requirements within EMEA with respect to financial information, both on and off balance sheet.
Understanding system flows, bookings and assist in technology build to set up future workflows as per necessary reporting requirements.
Submission of returns in an accurate & timely manner at varying frequencies, as stipulated by the regulator.
Investigation of issues and exceptions with various divisions of the firm.
Ad-hoc requests from senior management, regulator and other teams.
Involved in cross divisional projects requiring collaboration across Technology, Regulatory policy, Legal entity/Product controllers, etc.
Proactively seeking opportunities to improve workflows, technology and integrity of reporting information.
Ensure application of a robust control environment by performing key checks and controls proving data completeness and consistency across and between outputs.
Understanding the impact of regulatory developments and proactively work to identify solutions.
