The Director of Finance will report directly to the CEO and be accountable to the CEO and the Board of Directors. This position will provide financial leadership and direction in business planning and accounting functions for multiple business entities; will guide and direct financial activities in a manner designed to protect assets, will ensure compliance with reporting requirements, will provide timely and meaningful reporting of operations, will effectively plan for financial needs, and will ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. This position will oversee the accounting staff and IT Department.
Oversee preparation and distribution of timely and accurate financial statements.
Provide financial analysis to the CEO, Board of Directors and others to guide decision making.
Calculate physician-owner income distributions and equalization distributions.
Produce accurate and timely production reports.
Assist senior management in financial planning and results management.
Establish and maintain accounting, banking, legal and consulting relationships.
Manage vendor contracts and negotiate or assist in the negotiation of outside service providers i.e. payroll, data/phone communication, technical support, etc.
Maintain the 401K and Profit Sharing Plan
Facilitate tax compliance for all EHN entities
Coordinate and assist in the audit of the 401k Profit Sharing Plan
Cash management for all related entities
Maintain adequate funding to meet requirements for operations (working capital), retirement reserve and contingencies.
Establish and maintain financial policy to safeguard corporate assets and promote efficiency of operations.
Monitor the accuracy and efficiency of the A/P, A/R and payroll processes.
Attend Monthly board of directors meeting and present financial reports and analyses.
Interpret and calculate Physician Buyin and Buyouts.
Participate on committees as assigned.
Represent the Company in a positive and professional manor to the Portland metro business community and in all ways uphold the values and standards of EyeHealth Northwest.
Other projects or responsibilities as assigned by the CEO or Board of Directors.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
CPA Certification preferred.
Minimum eight (8) years of financial management experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Knowledge of retirement and profit-sharing plans.
Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
Ability to communicate in a manner that cultivates and sustains strong relationships in all levels of the organization.
Skill in providing effective leadership in achieving financial goals and objectives.
