This role is within JP Morgan Prime Services and Equity Finance Technology group which is aligned within the Equities Technology organization, responsible for end-to-end technology solutions across Synthetics, Securities Lending, Agency Lending, Fixed Income Repo, and Cash Prime Brokerage businesses. This business area has experienced double-digit growth with the momentum expected to continue as the business continues to rapidly expand. This group is looking to hire a highly skilled, motivated, and collaborative front-office facing Senior Java Developer who can actively engage with the Stock Loan trading desk and Product teams to perform business analysis and deliver solutions end-to-end. Key responsibilities:
Define, design and implement innovative, revenue-driving solutions on our Equity Finance platform
Regional ownership of the Long/Short Financing application stack
Form a close partnership with Stock Loan traders, Product Development, Quantitative Research and Global Technology teams
Take ownership of projects from requirements through to release
Collaborate with developers in other teams and locations to ensure seamless integration of functionality across the system
Hands-on Java and Java EE development with Spring stack
Strong object oriented design and programming experience with working knowledge of common design patterns
Good knowledge of Oracle (or any RDBMS), and ANSI SQL or Transact-SQL, SQL queries and Stored Procedures
Hands on with full stack development practices such as test automation, automated deployments, and TDD & Agile methodologies
Experience working in global/virtual teams
Proficient at UNIX Solaris/Linux environments
Communicate effectively with front office, middle office and developers.
Business knowledge in Equity Finance and Securities Lending, knowledge of Total Return Swaps
Experience with C# and WPF would be very beneficial
Experience in shell scripting and Python
Willing to keep abreast, learn and apply new technologies
