The Vice-President, Finance is critical to an organization’s success and is a key strategic part of an organization’s growth. This role is accountable for overall financial management, investment, financial reporting, budgeting, month-end, quarter-end, year-end reports; audits; audit and other external relationships related to prudent financial and fiscal management. This highly qualified individual must have a clear understanding of international banking, foreign currencies and be a global thinker. This position is accountable for all entities of financial management that are owned and operated by the organization. This position is a part of the executive team and is also accountable for mentoring, developing and management of the Finance Team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 (ten) years’ experience accounting with at least five (5) years in a similar position with proven track record of success and demonstrated entrepreneurial skills, as well as extensive knowledge of accounting systems, procedures and policies, financial management, forecasting, planning, and budgeting. A proven professional with the ability to interface with staff, Board of Directors, other volunteer leaders, and the business community in a positive manner. This individual must be dynamic; able to encourage and empower reporting staff to achieve goals and objectives, and possess highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
A degree in accounting and /or financial management is required, MBA preferred. CPA certification is required.
