Under the general supervision of the Finance Operations Manager and School of Medicine Controller, the Finance Analyst performs a variety of analytical assignments and conducts comprehensive reviews of a variety of financial transactions and reports for units in the School of Medicine (SOM). The incumbent is responsible for a wide variety of budget, financial, and operational analyses for existing and anticipated programs. Fund sources supporting these units could include State and UC General Funds, Health Compensation Plan Funds, Student Tuition and Fee Funds, Contract, Grant and Gift Funds, and Sales & Services Funds. The incumbent serves as Kuali Financial System (KFS) Fiscal Officer for all assigned accounts and transactions. The incumbent understands and applies generally accepted accounting principles, cost accounting standards, and University policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for implementing and maintaining systems to insure efficient operation of all business functions while remaining in compliance with University policies and procedures.
