UW Medicine Finance has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Applications Analyst, UW Medicine Finance Business Systems. Reporting to the Director of Finance Business Systems, this individual works directly with UW Medicine Finance and IT staff to support and enhance financial systems used throughout UW Medicine. This person is directly involved in the system support of two instance of the AllScripts/McKesson suite of ERP applications including Horizon Enterprise Financial Management, Horizon Enterprise Materials Management, the Horizon ERP Report Writer and Horizon ERP Reports for HMC and UWMC. This individual supports a number of other auxiliary applications, and is involved in the analysis, design, and development of custom applications and reporting solutions, managing information systems projects following enterprise processes. Additional responsibilities involve supporting existing on site hardware infrastructure, working with UW Medicine IT Services to build new required servers, and triaging system requests from application users that consist of workstation, printer, and general technical issues.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Interacts regularly with administrators, directors, managers, and supervisors to achieve divisional information technology goals.Interacts regularly with application users, vendors, colleagues, and management in order to enhance, support, and debug both vendor and custom applications.Coordinates with UW Medicine IT Services to provision, manage, and schedule back-ups and patching for Windows servers used in support of Finance and Accounting applications. Provides installation, configuration, analysis, and debugging services for software managed by UW Medicine Finance Business Systems.Performs data analysis, using SQL, Excel, reports, and other tools, in support of systems and applications managed by UW Medicine Finance Business Systems.Collaborates with centralized I.T. resources to provide Windows desktop support for users at UW Medicine Finance locations.Works with other team members to develop technical solutions to customer needs.Coordinates acquisition of computer hardware/software and information technology systems within UW Medicine Finance.Performs minor application programming tasks as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field AND three years of experience, preferably in computer science or business administration.
