The BU School of Public Health (SPH) is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Director of People Services to serve as the local human resources contact for the BU School of Public Health (SPH). The Director of People Services is responsible for developing, executing and maintaining customized, strategic talent management services in the areas of organizational design, change management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, community engagement, and other Human Resources initiatives for SPH. As Director, you will play a critical leadership role in the successful realization of human resources solutions and initiatives that effectively meet SPH goals.

Develop, implement and promote customized initiatives related to performance management, career development, community building and other projects and initiatives in support of SPH goals. Provide customized recruitment and talent management practices that advance and support the goals of SPH
Provide coaching and guidance to faculty and staff on performance excellence, recruitment, employee engagement, career development, team building, change management, and related Human Resources issues/solutions.
Design and execute staff development programs and seminars, including leadership development and mentoring programs.
Conduct needs assessments and provide consultation to leadership on initiatives that will support continuous improvement in areas of recruitment, staff development, and reward and recognition.
Provide metrics to leadership and managers that inform decisions including but not limited to recruitment planning, hiring strategies, and effectiveness of learning and development efforts.
Support organizational and team effectiveness and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion. Support collaboration, knowledge sharing and internal communication strategies.
A minimum of 5 years recruitment experience, preferably in higher education, research, or a related field. Successful experience in organizational design, change management, and creating positive staff development and community. Creative problem solver, ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. High-level skills required in a variety of HR-focused technology platforms including SAP very desirable.
