The Haile/US Bank College of Business at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance position. The expected start date for the position is August 12, 2019.

Located seven miles from downtown Cincinnati, NKU is a nationally recognized metropolitan university that is committed to active engagement with the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati region of nearly two million people. The AACSB-accredited Haile/US Bank College of Business serves over 2,100 of NKU’s 15,000 students with a wide range of traditional and specialized degree programs. The college is also home to the Haile Student Managed Investment Fund (HSIF). The HSIF was launched in 2011 as part of a $15 million gift from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. / US Bank Foundation. In its brief history, the HSIF has grown from its initial $465,000 to a total of $820,000. The HSIF was awarded a 5-Star rating from Morningstar.
Primary Responsibilities :
Candidates from all research areas in finance are welcome to apply. Current teaching needs include coursework in corporate finance, financial management, investments, international finance, and derivatives securities. To support faculty research, NKU subscribes to Thomson Reuters Datastream. Summer research support is available each year on a competitive basis. The standard teaching load for this position is a 3/3 teaching load.
Candidates are required to hold a Ph.D. or DBA in Finance from an AACSB-accredited program. ABDs will also be considered but are expected to complete their degrees before the faculty's time of appointment. We expect that a successful candidate: 1) Is committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and master's levels (in the classroom and online); 2) Demonstrates the ability to publish peer-reviewed academic research of high quality; 3) Has the dedication and sensitivity to foster a working and learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
