This position is for an Associate Systems Analyst on the IT Finance Team.
This position will work with the Director of IT Finance, IT Project Management team and other teams within information technology to assist in project accounting and quantifying the return on investment in new technology. The position will assist in streamlining the collection and reporting of IT financial data.
The Associate Systems Analyst uses current system and computer technology, and insures continuing operation of systems in the IT Finance functional areas of Christiana Care. The Associate Systems Analyst also acts as an internal consultant to management in disciplines and techniques related to finance within Information Technology.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the IT Department by:
Assists with constructing IT project budgets, accounting classifications and monthly spend reporting.
Responsible for yearly IT software and hardware maintenance renewal process
Works with business owners to quantify return on investment opportunities with IT project investments.
Utilizes business knowledge to identify areas of financial systems improvement opportunity in order to submit proposals for studies that lead to systems improvements when implemented.
Conducts/participates in projects/assignments, applying systems analysis methods and techniques in order to identify where and how cost and time-effective improvements can be made or, as necessitated by internal or external regulations. Document and present conclusions, proposed solution and associated costs in "Solution-in-Principle".
Evaluates documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance to standards
Establishes and maintains ongoing partnerships with various departments to facilitate centralized financial data
Develops and maintains professional relationships within IT and with leadership stakeholders
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
1 to 3 years of Accounting experience
Experience working with ERP systems and process improvement activities.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform successfully in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability in problem solving and strong analytical skills
Experience contributing on matrixed teams with disparate skill sets
