Corporate & Investment Banking: Global Transaction Banking
The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation. Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.
Based in Singapore, the primary focus of this position is to grow the trade finance revenues from multinational (MNC), Asian, large local (LLC) and German mid-cap corporate clients, with an emphasis on managing global commodity trader relationships.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Responsible for financial performance of assigned trade finance portfolio, including revenues, expenses, and other key performance indicators.
Act as regional coordinator for Trade Finance mandates with multiple country scope within Asia and across the franchise.
Identify and acquire new trade finance revenue opportunities as well as increase penetration with existing clients in collaboration with Coverage teams to drive revenue growth.
Leads analysis, solutioning, risk assessment, pricing, and negotiation of trade finance solutions to optimize relationship profitability.
Lead efforts in establishing tailored and innovative solutions to meet the complex requirements of a sophisticated customer base.
Work in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Coverage, Product Management, Legal, Compliance and Credit on structuring and executing trade finance mandates.
Work closely with Trade Operations to ensure smooth client delivery and retain the bank's superior market standing in the Trade Finance market.
Understand risks and balance sheet implications, including the application of risk distribution and other techniques.
Communicate client needs to Product Development and assist in the assessment of potential solutions and economic viability.
Key requirements for the role:
University degree in Business Administration or related disciplines.
Good knowledge of trade finance and financial supply chain products and solutions.
Sound market understanding specifically in the MNC and LLC space.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience with proven success in major financial institutions on relationship management or trade finance businesses.
Sales oriented, proactive, analytical, and strong leadership skills to lead deal teams and drive for results.
Strong coordination and execution skills.
Effective interpersonal, communication, business development, team coordination and advisory skills.
