Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, the incumbent is responsible for the financial and administrative management of all department accounts, major federal and private contracts and grants as well as other extramural funds that support various research and instructional programs within the Department of Dermatology. The incumbent is also responsible for the fiscal closing and School of Medicine budget processes. Incumbent has independent decision making authority, policy analysis and interpretation and independent problem solving responsibilities that requires on-going interaction with all levels of university agency faculty and staff. The incumbent is responsible for the accounts, including reporting, projection, budgeting, and supervision of staff performing monthly reconciliation and review and analysis of expenditures. The incumbent is responsible for the business operations of the department including accounting, payroll, facilities management, faculty compensation, purchasing, disbursements and equipment inventory management.Supervises AII, Finance Analyst and students.
