Come join the Global Science team, the research and development arm of The Nature Conservancy. On the Global Science team, we undertake research on linked social and environmental systems, test the effectiveness of environmental interventions and examine empirical evidence to prioritize conservation strategies. The Global Science team has a team of environmental economists, natural scientists and policy analysts who work with regional and global chapters of the Nature Conservancy on a variety of land, water, marine, urban and climate related challenges. We undertake empirical research, communicate research findings through popular and peer reviewed media and influence conservation actions by providing evidence. SNAPP brings together multi-disciplinary groups to tackle the most pressing issues facing people and nature. The ideal candidate will have a background and track record that includes:
· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
· Experience with relational databases.
· Technical experience with managing grants award accounting issues.
· Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
· Experience with government regulations related to grants and contracts
· Experience in manipulating, analyzing and interpreting data from across departments and organizations.
· Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· MBA, CPA and/or CIA may be preferred
