The School of Business offers a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, the MSF, Academic Director responsibilities will include, curriculum leadership, student recruitment and admissions, marketing and community outreach, accreditation and Assurance of Learning management, course scheduling, and faculty hiring and evaluation. The Academic Director works closely and collaboratively with the Graduate Business Programs Office and Marketing in the SBA on marketing, recruitment, admissions, advising, and career planning. S/he is the primary advisor to MSF students and public representatives of the MSF program. The position also carries a teaching load.
- MBA degree (or equivalent) or higher with finance or accounting emphasis.
- Five or more years of finance and/or accounting-related work experience required.
- Entrepreneurial thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to work independently.
- High level of demonstrated client service skills.
- Five or more years of academic administrative and/or teaching experience required.
- Extensive professional network in the Portland metro community in finance and/or accounting
-Previous experience working at PSU and /or understanding the complexities of navigating an academic environment
