The Department of Business Administration of Simpson University invites applications for a full-time faculty position to begin August 2017. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate level courses in Economics, Finance and Statistics and may participate in teaching interdisciplinary courses. Economics will be the principle area of instruction but assignment to teach other courses in Finance and Management will be necessary due to the size of the department and the number of undergraduate majors. Simpson University is a liberal arts university with a Business Administration Department that currently offers degrees in Accounting (5 year CPA Track and 4 year degree) and Business Administration (Management and Marketing Concentrations).
A Master’s degree/MBA is required. A PhD will be preferred, with an emphasis in Economics. All applicants will be considered based on qualifications and teaching experience. All faculty members must carry an advising load and serve on academic and/or administrative committees. The teaching load is 4/4.
The preferred candidate will have some research experience but the campus currently requires an emphasis on direct teaching abilities. A teacher with Christian values who can communicate combined principles of business and Christianity is required.
