MARIAN UNIVERSITY VICE PRESIDENT FOR BUSINESS & FINANCE
The President and Marian University community invites applications and nominations for its next Vice President for Business & Finance. S/he will work collaboratively to lead Marian to its next level of financial success by promoting best practices and modeling teamwork, transparent communication, and data-driven decision-making.
Marian University is a Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education distinguished by its pre-professional programs and strong liberal arts foundation. Founded in 1936 by the Congregation of Sisters of Saint Agnes, Marian University is a community committed to learning, dedicated to service and social justice, and joined together by spiritual traditions. A dynamic and vibrant learning community of over 2,100 students, Marian features a diverse, high-quality curricular profile that emphasizes combining academics with experiential and service. Recently reorganizing its academic structure from four schools to two colleges – the College of Arts, Sciences & Letters and the College of the Professions – the university offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and minors in traditional liberal arts and pre-professional programs as well as master's degree programs in Business, Education, Nursing and Thanatology and a doctoral degree program in Educational Administration and Leadership.
The V.P. for Business & Finance reports directly to President Andrew Manion and is a member of the President's Cabinet. The successful candidate will be an experienced and innovative leader who has: progressive leadership in financial affairs at a mission-driven not-for-profit organization (higher education experience preferred); strategic program development and problem-solving skills; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; successful experience in personnel management, including staff evaluation and development; and a strong accounting background (CPA preferred).
