This role would sit in the Corporate Credit Risk Team which is responsible for approving derivatives trades, loan exposure and underwriting of Leveraged Finance transactions.
The role would be primarily focused on supporting the Leveraged Finance franchise in EMEA. The role would be a senior position within the credit risk team, responsible for due diligence process and assessment of underwriting risk.
Conduct full credit due diligence on new transactions including business review, financial analysis, stress cases and financial modelling.
Evaluate transactions structure and pricing, and ultimately syndication risk
Working closely with the origination, M&A and capital markets team
Actively participate in credit committee, challenging the deal teams and presenting credit views
Briefing to senior management and liaising with clients when required
The candidate would also be involved in the loan portfolio management and the production and presentation of ad hoc leveraged finance market analysis.
In addition, the candidate would have the opportunity to broaden the scope of its responsibilities by exerting credit approval authority in other products areas including derivatives, structured finance and stock lending.
The candidate will have extensive background in leveraged finance
Financial/business qualification such as CFA/Master's degree/MBA is an advantage
Previous experience in a similar credit risk department, deal team, rating agency or credit fund will be considered
Ability to work with complete autonomy to run the full due diligence process
Need to be able to hold strong views and be at ease in presenting to senior management
Candidate needs to have market knowledge and be able to assess capital structures and pricing
The role would also include scope to be involved in approval of derivatives transactions with high yield clients. Skillset in this area can be learnt on the job.
Fluency in 1 or 2 European languages would be desirable but not necessary
