Reporting to the Lead Administrator (LA), the Finance Manager manages a clinical budget of $15-17M and a research budget of $6M. Enables faculty and program leadership to maximize their focus on program activities by managing and implementing assigned financial and/or administrative support services, the department's operational challenges and opportunities, works to develop and implement solutions with the LA and serves as a critical conduit for strengthening the interface between unit needs/requirements and service provider activities.

Required Skill/ability 2: Expert in Microsoft Excel, Pivot tables, preferably power pivots and visual basic. Relational databases. Ability to learn reporting and budgeting tools. Excellent knowledge and experience in accounting principles and chart of accounts. Attention to detail, organizational skills and time management are a must.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Degree in Finance/Accounting. Academic healthcare experience.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related experience including demonstrated leadership, project management and/or supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Thorough working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting and analysis. Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial plans; experience integrating multiple pieces of financial information to identify themes, trends, and issues. Demonstrated experience in managing relationships and influencing outcomes. Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in a complex organization.
