FIS provides reliable and trusted solutions for all aspects of securities finance and related businesses. We help a broad range of participants address their stock borrowing and lending, repo, synthetic finance, collateral management and prime finance technology requirements.
We are looking for someone who is willing to work on a variety of support, analysis, development and project related tasks simultaneously. We operate both a Run The Bank and Change The Bank service across a L1-L2-L3 support and change model.
Support coverage is from 7am-7pm with an early/late/standard day, rotated within the team, with overnight support again covered on a rotational basis. There will be a requirement for occasional weekend maintenance work although this will be on a much more limited basis.
Our clients operate on a global basis, as do we and this role will slot into a wider team and engagement model.
Also participating in, when required, an active training and knowledge transfer program will be key part of the role in ensuring less experienced members of the team are brought up to speed. Excellent overall knowledge of the securities finance and/or collateral sector.
A good working knowledge of one or more of the FIS Securities Finance Products: Global One, Apex SecFin, Apex Collateral or Martini.
Key is experience in dealing with and issues in the business flow from trading through settlement (upstream and downstream systems and processes included).
◦Understanding the full trade lifecycle is a key element of the role. Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Windows environments is essential.
Experience of other standard market applications (Swift/Crest etc.)
Experience in one or more of the following:-
◦UniData (or similar RDBMS)/SB+
◦Transact/PLSQL Knowledge of any (or more) of the following technologies would be an advantage:
◦Business Objects A structured and methodical approach to problem investigation and resolution
The ability to work within a team of mixed experience resources
The confidence and ability to deal directly with customers at all levels of seniority
Ability to work effectively on a number of tasks in parallel
Good communication skills.
