The appointee will enjoy a very commercial role that has a primary focus on assisting the investment team successfully close transactions. You will be a key interface between the investment team, the portfolio team, finance, and operations. Key responsibilities will include:
Developing a strong working relationship with the investment team to ensure deals are closed successfully;
Advising the investment team and managing the execution of the deal-close process;
Understanding both transaction and fund level tax issues;
Setting up structures and managing banking relationships;
Providing ad-hoc expertise to matters relating to the fund, accounting for a deal, hedging strategies etc.;
Managing post-close finance and tax related matters for the investments;
Working with the Portfolio and Investment teams on post-acquisition transactions;
Providing advice on investment valuations;
Acting as first point of contact for investor queries; and
Managing a small team.
We're seeking a well-rounded private equity professional. You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred) with an excellent academic record. You may be employed as a Finance Director or CFO of in a private equity firm where you have gained significant exposure to the funds and investments. We are equally keen to consider someone at approximately the Senior Manager in accountancy practice with significant private equity tax or audit experience. Strong analytical and project management skills will be important, particularly given you'll need to be able to manage multiple, complex tasks. You must also be an excellent communicator with the ability to present credibly to senior stakeholders.
