FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION ASSOCIATE, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab-North America (J-PAL NA), to support J-PAL NA's work by performing financial planning for the office and for specific grants, tracking expenses, and reporting to project managers and office senior staff; and working with the research, policy, and training teams to make sure their needs for financial management, planning, and reporting are met. Finance assistance will include pulling data from MIT accounting systems and preparing financial reports on grants for donors and NA project managers; advising--with the finance and administration manager--on the ability of project funding and core resources to cover staffing and activity plans; assisting with the preparation of project budgets; and working with MIT's Subawards Office to develop, execute, manage, and closeout research subawards with project partners. Administrative tasks will include supporting J-PAL NA's scientific directors, calendar and travel support, managing contact and information management systems, and handling other duties as assigned by the finance and administration manager.

REQUIRED: a minimum of three years' administrative experience in an office environment, good written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage a high volume of work, and attention to detail.
