The trainee will be part of the Finance department of Societe Generale Corporate Investment Banking
In the context of reorganization of the Finance department, COO is a team who aims to accompany "Run the Bank" functions regarding organization topics, definition of the target operating model and continuous process improvements. The team will be mainly focusing on non-IT projects and initiatives.
The position is based in Hong Kong but covers the whole Asia-Pacific perimeter. He / She will report locally to the head of COO team and to the Chief of Staff in Development and Finance Department.
Support to the Finance Chief of Staff (COS)
Consolidate the Regional risk indicators report and perform the 1st level analysis
Provide all the necessary support to COS on the oversight of off-shoring hub in Bangalore (~100 staffs supporting Asia Pacific finance teams)
Assist COS to prepare the Asia Pacific roadmap and progress update presentation to management and staffs
Assist to drive the ad-hoc and regular transversal topics with the EXCO members in Asia Pacific (8 locations)
Support & coordinate the internal event organization i.e. All staffs meetings, pop-up events & trainings
General communication and coordination of transversal topics of the department
Be the back-up to ensure the Asia Finance Weekly Status consolidation ready on time for line manager review
Ad-hoc support on COS functions
Project Portfolio Management (COO)
Production of a monthly project dashboard, project forecast
Monitoring of the budget and costs pertaining to the projects / initiatives handled by COO team
Supporting the team in the elaboration of Change budget
Support the project team with the project monitoring tool (Pyramid)
Promote the usage of collaborative tools within the team and the department
Support the Digital Transformation of the department by: organize the bi-weekly Digital initiatives meeting, prepare the necessary materials, accompany the smart automation...
Ad-hoc support on prioritized initiatives required by COO team
Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance or similar
Strong interest for Banking / Finance
Strong interpersonal skills with an extrovert personality
Adaptable, flexible and fast learning
Capacity to work autonomously
Capacity to meet objective assigned on time and with accuracy
Strong analytical sense
Good communication skills with fluent English is mandatory
This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
