The Healthcare Finance Implementation Consultant (HFIC) is responsible for the design of software solutions for Healthcare clients' financial data from legacy systems which can be migrated to DataArk to include Hospital Patient Accounting Systems, Physician Patient Accounting Systems, Electronic Document Managing Systems, Audit Data, 837 & 835 Conversion Data, Payroll and Human Resource Data. For each Financial project, the HFIC will work in concert with an internal project team which includes a Project Manager, Data Analyst, and Data Modeler. This position will require significant interaction with client project team members and third party vendors, and will require travel to client sites.
Responsible for requirements gathering, workflow analysis, gap analysis, solution design, software configuration, and related documentation.
Manages client expectations by balancing individual client needs with overall Implementation Team/company goals.
Participates in project pre-contract scope & discovery.
Documents the client’s current system requirements and workflows.
Demonstrates DataArk functionality, and how it might accommodate future client requirements.
Identifies potential gaps between client requirements and current software functionality.
Creates possible workflows that could be utilized in lieu of development of new fields.
Assist Project Manager as needed to create customized pre-kickoff and/or kickoff materials related to implementation.
Participates in project pre kickoff and kick off sessions with PMO and client project team resources.
Participates in onsite kick off design and discovery sessions.
Completes gap analysis, solution design, and related documentation.
Identify key project issues and risks that will have cost and/or timeline impact and escalate appropriately to MediQuant Project Manager and/or client key stakeholder to resolve.
Communicates as needed with the Project Manager to translate kickoff feedback into Project Plans and Milestones.
Partners with Client Project team to develop sample/final project scope documents for signature.
Participates in Pass-Off meetings between the Project Manager, Data Analyst, and Data Modeler.
Establish an open, collaborative environment for Internal Project team (including extractors) that ensures all team members understand the expectations/intricacies of the client and project ensuring that all team members are in the loop on any changes affecting their work to ensure a solid delivery experience.
Coordinates with extractor to complete initial data mapping between legacy system and DataArk.
Responsible for initial high level validation and sign off points for chain of custody.
Partners with Data Analyst and Data Modeler to resolve data load/validation issues.
Provides client training and related materials using a train-the-trainer approach.
Partners with Development to define and prioritize client enhancement requests.
Collaborates as needed with multiple internal/external technical teams.
Participates in project status meetings.
Participates in customer go-lives and post go-live support activities for 30 days.
Participates in post-go live "Lessons Learned" meetings.
May assist in Pre-Sales Patient Accounting and/or ERP demos.
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Accounting, IT, or related field preferred
In lieu of degree, 3-5 years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or Finance Field
Working knowledge of revenue cycle systems/finance specifically as it relates to functions performed within a traditional hospital or medical provider office
Experienced with the implementation and/or support of Financial data conversions or interfaces
Experienced at working in concert with cross-functional project team members
Demonstrated experience working with external clients and third party vendors
Demonstrated understanding of Software Implementation Project deliverables
Strong documentation, organization, and meeting facilitation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)
