SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, or accounting required; CPA certification is required; 10+ years of financial leadership, experience in the non-profit sector desired.
Experience with Solomon/Microsoft Dynamics a plus
Experience with iMIS association management software a plus
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT and Analytical Skills:
Ability to develop and effectively manage departmental budgets; knowledge of appropriate business practices and financial controls; ability to plan and allocate resources to achieve organizational goals. Ability to analyze financial and other data to support business needs and develop solutions.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines; adherence to deadlines; commitment to exceeding performance expectations for self, department, and organization.
Experience working with volunteer committees and presenting to boards of directors.
Strong communication skills, including written and oral; accomplished presenter; ability to present and communicate financial information in a manner so that non-financial audiences can understand it.
Character and confidence; exerts a thoughtful approach and deep financial expertise to easily establish credibility and rapport with all stakeholders.
Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented; ability to set aside own opinions and interests to understand other perspectives and collaboratively arrive at decisions that benefit the organization.
Exhibits a high degree of integrity.
Moderate overnight travel up to 15%. AMCP hold two large conference each year.
