POSITION DETAILSReporting to the Assistant Vice President for Budget and Finance, the Finance Procurement Director/ Director of Strategic Sourcing and Contracts will be responsible for procurement and contracting for the College and its Auxiliary Services Corporation and College Association, with resources of $20 million, and formulating initiatives to generate additional revenue for the college.This role will also ensure that the procurement business functions and processes are optimizing sourcing and supplier management, vendor relationships, efficient receiving, and timely and controlled settlement and payment.In addition to the duties in the CUNY Title Overview, the Director's responsibilities will include:Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing and contracts and ensure consistency in processes, maximization of technology and systems.Oversight and responsibility over all aspects of the non-tax levy contract lifecycle for the college.Directly involved in the creation and implementation of contracts for non-tax levy goods and services, utilizing the University contract process. This includes drafting RFPs, preparing specifications, conducting the bid and pre-bid process, selecting vendors, and working within contract guidelines required by CUNY, NY City and NY State as applicable.Oversee vendor responsibilities, review, evaluate and negotiate contracts; ensure that the College is in compliance with the contract rules and regulations.Direct different departments at Hunter College on the preparation, distribution and collection of contacts and procurement materials.Strategically identify areas where there are cost savings and revenue generating opportunities.Performs continuous operations and systems evaluations and make recommendations for improvement of operations, systems and methods.Implement marketing strategies and business developments to expand the operations of the Auxiliary Enterprise Corporation.Participates in University-wide purchasing committees, special projects, and professional associations.
