Job Description: We Are: In an effort to accommodate the growth and complexity of clinical trials at MSK, Clinical Research Administration has redesigned its infrastructure to ensure a more cost-effective and streamlined business process. In doing so, several key leadership roles have been developed, including the Director – Clinical Research Finance. You Will: Report directly to the VP, Research and Project Administration. Direct and manage the activities of the Clinical Research Finance (CRF) Unit of the Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA) and Clinical Research Administration (CRA). Serve as a member of the ORPA and CRA leadership teams and collaborates with other ORPA and CRA Unit Leaders, VP-ORPA, VP-Clinical Research Operations, and Physician-in-Chief(PiC) and RTM leadership to direct, develop and improve the financial management of MSK's clinical research. Ensure the most professional, organized, efficient and appropriate workflow for all processes related to the financial management of clinical research in an environment that encourages staff development, continuous improvement, and the highest quality service. Act as a liaison with senior scientific and administrative leadership at MSK to efficiently and effectively promote the strategic development and management of MSK's clinical research programs. You Are: Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. Able to hold yourself and others accountable in order to achieve goals and live up to commitments. Someone with a proven ability to maneuver through complex policy, process and people-related organizational dynamics. Effective at building formal and informal networks inside and outside the organization to further departmental and institutional goals. Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances. You Have: Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred. 7-10 years of related experience, preferably in clinical research setting. 4-7 years of management/leadership experience. Experience related to clinical research, financial management, including, but not limited to, budget oversight, clinical trial agreements, invoicing, and fiscal management highly preferred. Strong communication skills including the ability to develop, facilitate, and orchestrate effective communication with all members of MSK, including the responsibility for writing, preparing and educating staff on clinical research procedures and processes. Excellent problem-solving ability including a strong ability and understanding on how to collect, analyze, interpret and prepare data for presentation (i.e., written, tabular and graphical formats).
