Advertised Summary Job Description: The Senior Analyst - Finance and Operations is responsible for maintaining and enhancing policy and procedures for the network of Global Centers. He/she enhances business operations, including staff trainings and development and HR, and is responsible for developing business strategies for the centers.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: -Maintains and enhances the Columbia Global Center Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including ensuring that SOPs reflect local practices and legal requirements, are in compliance with University policy, and are up to date.
-As part of the SOP responsibilities, administers Global Center Safety & Security policy, monitoring maintenance of Center Safety & Security Plans as well as developing security protocols.
-Works on specialty legal matters including government inquiries, litigation, internal audit requests, and corporate requirements.
-Manages key relationships with campus partner schools/departments, including coordination and maintaining signature of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) when needed.
-Under the leadership of the CFO, manages business operations and human resources matters, including staff trainings and development, recruitment, on-boarding materials, and termination materials for New York office and centers.
-Works on special projects as needed. Performs other job related duties as required.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent required. Minimum three years' related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills needed. Strong customer service focus is required. Must be able to work independently and well under pressure and coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities. Must exercise good judgment and be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be detailed-oriented, accurate and have excellent organizational skills. Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment required. Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Excel and Access required.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University policies and systems is preferred.
