The Hopkins School Business Office is seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to work with the Controller and Chief Financial and Operating Officer in all areas relating to financial accounting and reporting. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems to ensure adherence to GAAP and maintaining procedures and internal controls that ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Finance and Accounting Manager addresses rigorous deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger, student billing and other accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets accounting, account analysis and reconciliation, financial reporting, compliance with various regulatory agencies, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
The position requires strong interpersonal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and 5+ years of experience. CPA preferred.
