Provides executive level administrative assistance through the performance of advanced and complex general office work and assumes considerable responsibility for office management.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate
Responsibilities: 40% Provides administrative support to the Vice-President and Assistant Vice-President for Finance & Administration, performing tasks such as accepting telephone calls, maintaining calendars and appointments, reconciling departmental accounts, making arrangements for travel as well as on campus meetings. Represents the division with professionalism to both internal and external constituents.
40% Serves as receptionist for the Office of Business Services, performing tasks such as greeting visitors to the department, processing mail daily, maintaining supply inventory and equipment service agreements, and overseeing record retention plan for documents.
15% Completes accounting tasks related to Summer Camps, including reconciliation of accounts and meeting with camp sponsors, as needed, to resolve accounting issues.
5% Provides assistance to other areas of Business Services, as needed, contributing to the overall success of the Department.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of related administrative experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications. Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
