Serve executive counsel to Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics in developing strategy and policy for department
Responsible for total department budget including constructing current and future year budget projections,
Leads department business operations with direct oversight of staff and control of financial transactions for all cost centers including compliance with University policy and procedures (SAM & MAPP)
Oversee all Human Resources functions including employee recruitment, onboarding, employment contract management, termination; serve as primary contact for the UH HR office.
Review financial contracts and serve as primary contact for UH Office of Contracts Administration.
Monitors and directs a major sport or multiple sports in all aspects of program operations, budget planning and management, personnel administration, resource allocation and scheduling; ensures compliance with all university and NCAA related polices
Work with senior financial leadership in Administration and Finance office on capital financing plans or construction projects.
Direct oversight of Athletic Equipment Room staff and operations.
Assist in management of the IMG partnership to maximize corporate sponsor revenue.
Performs other job-related duties and assigned.
Bachelors and 7 years experience
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
