This position reports to the President-Rector of the Seminary. As a member of the President’s Council and Rector’s Cabinet, the Vice President for Finance collaborates with other key administrators as they work together to promote the vision and mission of SHSST. The CFO shall have broad responsibility for leadership and management of the functional areas of finance, human resources, physical plant, technology and telecommunications, purchasing, property management, bookstore and printing/mailing services. The Vice President for Finance also oversees the food service operation currently outsourced to Sodexo Inc. & Affiliates.
Candidates must possess the fiscal and administrative experience necessary to manage multiple business operations and projects. Creativity, initiative and the ability to understand the needs of trustees, faculty, staff, students and community members are essential. The CFO must have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. A minimum of five years of experience as a senior financial and administrative officer is required and preference will be given to those with experience in private colleges/universities or related non-profit organizations. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required. An MBA is preferred.
