The Finance Manager for SSB Global HQ is a direct report to the SSB Director of Finance. The position will have 2 direct reports (1 full time and 1 part time) and will serve as a key advisor to the SSB Director of Finance on financial reporting, analysis and accounting matters. The individual in this role will work closely with the Vice President and General Manager of SSB and his direct staff on matters related to financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and internal controls. This role is also the key contact point for the SSB Regional Finance teams.
More specific responsibilities include:
Develop key business metrics and associated tracking systems. This includes ensuring a quality global Annual Operating Plan by coordinating the process. Monitor key business/finance metrics to achieve objectives.
Ensure predictability of global financial results by driving an effective quarterly forecasting process. Develop appropriate analysis utilizing market and financial information.
Global financial reporting consistency in all areas including revenue and expense recognition, cost classification and reserve justification.
In support of the Director, Finance and business management, be a business partner through reporting and analysis to drive growth and productivity.
Support the headquarters groups including Global Process, Lean Six Sigma, Global Engineering Center (GEC), Global Commercial, Global Programs, PMO and Quality, Global Operations, Global Solutions Technology and Acquisition Integration teams
Lead global SSB revenue recognition transition including driving global process changes and consistency across regions
Support global SSB transition off of IFS7.5 and onto new (yet to be identified) business system
Coordination of Consolidated SSB financial analysis and reporting requirements:
Monthly/quarterly SSB causals
Monthly/quarterly SSB Risk & Opportunity analysis
Quarterly QPR supplemental schedules
BLC and BSR support as requested
Reporting and analysis for KPI's (Process, Power & Control, Information Solutions)
Consolidation of SSB orders and revenue by product line, subvertical/industry and process by subvertical
Global acquisition reporting, integration support, analysis and business partnering
Productivity reporting, including quarterly BPR bridge, monthly bridge by region and KPI compilation
Monthly SSB Regional business review meeting templates
Review of SSB Unbilled Receivables (Various VPs and CFO)
Quarterly Corporate Controller meetings
Work on special projects as assigned by the SSB VP and General Manager, CP&S VP of Finance or the SSB Director of Finance
