Prepare financial reports based on Management requests and monthly results; analyze financial results in order to help department heads understand results; prepare spreadsheets to effectively show financial results and financial forecasts. Primary Responsibilities:Contribute to the Revenue / Medical Costs / SGA forecasting and Analysis Process Develop and Maintain Financial Models to effectively prepare Annual Forecasts Analyze Medical Loss Ratios and resulting Internal Operating Income for Accuracy Effectively Communicate Results to Business Leaders and Sr. Management Conduct monthly Department and Clinic Variance analysis Reporting Research and provide feedback to Cost Reporting Variances Create Annual Budget Templates Create / Update Periodic Forecast Reporting Templates Ad hoc Spreadsheet Creation Prioritize and Organizes own work to meet deadlines Performs all other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree) 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience Extensive financial modeling experience Strong data mining and analytical skills Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Must possess effective management-level communication and presentation skillsPreferred Qualifications:2+ years of healthcare finance experience Ability to prepare / present statistical and narrative reportsAs a global organization that's making a difference in the lives of millions of people, UnitedHealth Group is used to challenge on a scale like no place else.
