AM Japan Finance is looking for an individual to be part of Finance Controller team for the Asset Management Business. Under AM LOB in Japan, we have two legal entities; JPMorgan Asset Management Japan Limited (JPMAM Japan) and JPMAM Japan Cayman Fund Limited. Client AUM of Funds business and Institutional Business altogether was $45 bn at end of June'17, generating annualized revenues of $146 mn.
The team is responsible for producing financial statements in accordance with Japanese and US accounting standards. To support this, the team is required to ensure that all internal controls are adequate and effective, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The team is closely working with the various functions in JPMAM Japan as well as Finance colleagues in the group companies in the globe.
Preparation for US head office reporting, Japan regulatory reporting.
Preparation for statutory accounts (semi-annually / annually) and calculation of capital adequacy ratio required by FIEL.
Liaise with Finance counterparties in affiliates, internal and external auditors, etc.
Work with Corporate Reporting team, etc. in Mumbai and Regional AM LEC team in Hong Kong for US head office reporting requirements and queries.
Work with CIB LEC team in Japan for US head office reporting and Japan regulatory reporting.
Provide analysis and commentary for regular financial reporting to the management of the relevant entities.
Respond ad-hoc queries and requests from location business groups as well as regional and global finance in a timely manner. In order to support these responsibilities, the team is required to work with diligence and partnership with various parties.
Work on migration of corporate ledger into SAP to go live in Jan 2019.
