DESCRIPTION: The position is a tenure-track appointment that begins in August 2018. The teaching load is 12 semester hours per term (fall and spring) with a 10-month contract, August through May. The position will be involved in all aspects of departmental affairs. Mars Hill University is a liberal arts institution located 20 miles north of Asheville, N.C. The successful applicant will be student-centered and willing to help students reach their full potential through both classroom experiences and supporting co-curricular activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. or DBA in Business or related field from a regionally accredited institution is required. Undergraduate teaching experience strongly desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include teaching and developing courses within the Business Department, which provides programs for traditional and non-traditional undergraduate students, and masters level students; along with assisting in advising and mentoring majors. This position will be significantly involved with the Master of Management program. Applicants should also be interested in participating in faculty governance responsibilities and teaching in the General Education program.
