Job Summary: The director for finance and administrative services for Concordia Language Villages (CLV) is not only responsible for the daily management of the financial operations for the organization, but also for the overall strategic management of a $12M operating budget. The director provides financial data and analysis to the CLV senior leadership group to support current operations and advance strategic organizational goals. The director is responsible for establishing and maintaining internal financial controls and ensuring that all fiscal practices are in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The director participates in the annual audit conducted by Concordia College.
In addition, the director is responsible for providing leadership, oversight and management of the CLV finance team, registration/transportation team and staff team. S/he reports to the executive director for Concordia Language Villages and has an indirect reporting line to the controller of Concordia College.

*Bachelor’s degree in financial management and/or accounting, or closely related field, plus five years of mid-level financial administrative management experience or by equivalent education/experience.
*Strong degree of English language proficiency
*Ability to advance strategic financial forecasts, with related tools and metrics, for a multidivisional educational enterprise;
*Self-directed organizational leadership that includes sound technical and analytical skills and good judgment;
*Decisive and problem-solving nature;
*Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring others to whom the world of finance, accounting, and budgeting is like a second language;
*Strong interpersonal and multicultural communication and negotiation skills; and
*Advocate for mission of Concordia Language Villages: inspiring courageous global citizens.
*Knowledge of (or exposure to) at least one second world language.
