Bluestem Communications is seeking a Financial Administrator to conduct monthly financial management and recordkeeping. This position is a contract position, ending December 31, 2018. Contract extensions and expanded scope of services possible in 2019. We estimate that tasks can be accomplished in approximately 16 hours a week. Basic responsibilities include: Cash management and record keeping, including processing, payment and record keeping for all accounts payable and accounts receivable. Assist in creation of project budgets, monitor budget to actual for project, grants and organization-wide performance and prepare all internal and external budget reports necessary. Perform Monthly Close process, including calculating payroll by program, reconcile bank statements, enter credit card receipts and reconcile cc statements, monthly standard journal entries, and report on monthly and YTD status against budget. Process payroll and all employee benefits Bluestem is located in Chicago; remote work is acceptable. Maintain all internal controls and financial reporting systems at company and legal standards. Provide monthly financial reports to Board of Directors, including cash positions, accounts receivable and revenue projections.
