The Business Office seeks an individual to join a team of 6 in a dynamic office of finance, operations and human resources. The Finance Assistant will work closely with other finance colleagues to support the smooth operations of the Business Office. This position reports to the Associate Head of School for Finance and Operations.
This is a 30 hour a week, year-round, position.
Supporting the Business Office
Being the welcoming face of the Lab School Business Office - greeting visitors with warmth,
Collecting, sorting and distributing mail for department,
Responding to parent, employee and community inquiries,
Managing Business Office calendar and conference room,
Backup to receive and log packages delivered to the school,
Backup to dispatch facilities needs requests,
Other duties as requested and as needs are observed.
Supporting the Student Billing and Human Resources Processes
Verifying and processing cash and check deposits,
Performing simple bookkeeping reconciliations,
Preparing and distributing requests for clinical services authorizations, and tracking and processing returned documents
Scanning and filing journal entries,
Tracking receipt of tuition enrollment contracts,
Entering and updating student and outpatient demographic, status, and billing data into the Student Billing module of Financial Edge (Blackbaud), and FACTS.

At least five years professional experience or possess a bachelor’s degree.
Highly proficient in Excel, Word, mail merge and other Microsoft Office software, essential,
Experience in Blackbaud or other student management software, ideal,
Open to and able to learn other software programs quickly,
Skilled in general math,
Extremely organized, able to multi-task effectively and attentive to detail.
