As the Exotic Trade Reviewer you will review Deutsche Bank's portfolio of complex trades within CIB Rates primarily. This will be an independent, detailed review of all significant new transactions executed by the business to ensure that the documentation has been correctly represented in the P&L/Risk bookings. You will be responsible for all APAC exotic trades (complete ownership including review, resolving issues, escalation and MI) and help the Global ETR team with reviews across CIB global as required.
Review of Deutsche Bank's complex Rates trades in line with the required processes
Reading, understanding all of the documents relating to a specific trade to understand the purpose of the deal
Develop a detailed understanding of the deal review process, including the underlying trades and different Deutsche Bank systems
Work with business partners to resolve booking issues, standardise booking practices and reduce operational risk surrounding exotic bookings
Facilitate process improvement both within and outside of the group.
Provide interface to local and global senior management
Strong financial mathematics experience and experience in modelling trades, or
Experience in reviewing complex transaction legal documentation, or
Experience within a structured product business
Ideally background across multiple asset classes but particularly within Rates
Ideally CFA, PhD, degree in Finance or Maths
Highly numerate, professional, thorough and proactive
Able to develop strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Able to question and challenge in a constructive fashion with a strong attention to detail
Able to demonstrable previous experience in this area
